Ok…get a hold of yourself! I just learned that Showtime ordered the sixth and LAST season of the L word. I though we would get at least 2 more seasons. How disappointing…I guess all good things eventually come to an end…but damn it I wanted to be much older before that happened!

UPDATE: Juliet just informed me that they will only have 8 episodes next season too. So we don’t even get a full season next year! Grrrrrrrr

I AM TOTALLY DEVASTATED!
This show has made a huge impact on my life over the years. Learning that its okay to be myself, allowing me to feel good about coming out, and of course the drama! I love the drama! It’s the one place I can go each week and watch someone else’s drama other than my own!
I am very upset about this. I haven’t been this upset about the show since Dana died. I just don’t understand. They have a HUGE fan base, gay and straight. They’ve got a successful website/blog, merchandise etc! Why stop now? Why just end it?
What I want to know is (and this is usually the case with hit shows ending)…Who is wanting to be a big movie star? Which major character(s) want to branch off on their own? If that’s not the case, then why would Showtime not want to extend to 8 or 9 seasons or, I don’t know, forever!
No more Sunday nights! No more L Word Premier Parties! No more hot lesbian sex on a weekly basis for those who aren’t getting any!
I’m never getting over this….
